Host DJ Lily Jade welcomed Anastasia Malone from the Cleveland Print Room to discuss exciting summer programs designed to inspire the next generation of artists and storytellers. Listeners learned about the FREE Analog Bootcamp, where middle and high school students can explore traditional film photography, and the Eco Photo Camp in partnership with the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which combines photography, nature, and hands-on learning. Later in the show, Lily sat down with Kiera Matheny from the Official HBCU Cheer Combine. Kiera shared details about the upcoming event taking place June 20 in Akron, Ohio, where aspiring cheerleaders and dancers will have the opportunity to showcase their talents, connect with college recruiters, and learn more about opportunities at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The conversation highlighted the importance of leadership, teamwork, discipline, and celebrating HBCU culture and excellence.
 DJ LILY JADE, TANK AND THE BANGAS & FELICIA HANEY Just got done watching Tank and the Bangas at Severance Music Center and WOW… what a SHOW! From the live piano to the trumpet solos, every part of the performance felt like art coming alive on stage. The energy, the storytelling, the vocals, the musicianship… everything was NEXT LEVEL. One of my favorite moments was hearing them talk about what they love most about New Orleans — the culture, the people, the soul, the music. You could feel that spirit throughout the entire show. And when they said, “I just love me Black people” and “Black don’t crack,” the crowd ERUPTED! They also performed music from their new album “The Last Balloon” and talked about being fearless — comparing life to roller coasters and learning to enjoy the ride. That message really stuck with me. And the encore song “Move To You” was the PERFECT ending. The whole crowd was vibing!
